March was swift, busy and full of change.
“The brand we built had to reach beyond the walls of the venue and put the whole area firmly back on the map as a place to visit, learn, work and play.”
This month we went to the opening event for the brand new Perth Museum! It was a genuine joy to see all the work of the past eighteen months coming together for the spectacular launch of Perth’s new £27M heritage attraction. The museum tells the stories that puts Perth & Kinross at the centre of Scotland’s history, so the brand we built had to reach beyond the walls of the venue and put the whole area firmly back on the map as a place to visit, learn, work and play. We were inspired by transformation - Perth has shaped our nation: our culture, politics, people, history and our future.
Our ambition was to make this more than just a museum brand. Read more about the identity here - and see some fabulous images of the things graphic designers in particular love to photograph - toilet signage, close ups of copper lettering, and so on.
We’ve also written recently about some huge news from our clients at the Homeless World Cup! Read about the Netflix sensation The Beautiful Game here. The film, starring Bill Nighy and Michael Ward, is currently a top ten movie in the UK, and it’s spreading the extremely worthy message of the Homeless World Cup to a brand new audience. Also on this topic, we’ve recently unveiled the logo we created for the 2024 tournament in Seoul, which you can read about here. This is the first Homeless World Cup tournament to be hosted in South Korea as well as our first project in East Asia, so we’re delighted to have been involved - and we can’t wait to watch the games!
We’ve been working away on ongoing projects for shared service centre Solvd, boutique game publishers Little Nook, sourcing experts Hardie Polymers and several more. We’re inching closer to completion on our brand identity for Enough! Scotland, so will have more to say on that soon. April should see us talking a lot more about a project we’ve been working on with environmentally friendly food pioneers Levy UK&I - keep an eye out on Earth Day 2024!
We’re also delighted to share that we’re working on an ongoing basis with Towner Eastbourne on year round design outputs for them - after our successful partnership branding the 2023 Turner Prize we’re excited to be working with them for the foreseeable future! There’s also a few brand new projects coming up that we’re excited to tell you about (when we can!).
In general studio news we celebrated three birthdays in March: Lizzy, Lewis and DC, so many many happy returns to those three. We also bade a fond farewell to Lisa, who is off to pastures new - we wish her the very best, and hope her new colleagues appreciate her.
