January 2021

As I write this in the first week of February, my overwhelming feeling is simply that it’s good to know there are other months in 2021. January lasted roughly one thousand years, so it seems like a good shout to make a quick note of everything we got up to this month!

We continued our work on the Dubai Expo 2020, which is due to open in October this year. They opened one of their pavilions in January too, a sort of teaser for the main event. Terra looks incredible - it’s an exploration of sustainability and consumerism, and offers some brilliant solutions for a better tomorrow. We’re very jealous of the locals who are able to visit the site with all the precautions in place. We still can’t tell you much about the work we’re doing for Expo, but rest assured, the event is going to look phenomenal! Read more on the history of this prestigious event here.

We worked on some currently top secret projects for clients Eden Mill as well - keep an eye on the gin aisle, that’s all we can say for now! You can see some of our other work with Eden Mill here.

We had three birthdays! Sian, Jack and Rachel (me!) all celebrated in appropriately sensible and socially distant ways, and we thank you all for your belated birthday wishes (see below for our particular style of team birthday cards). Sian also moved house and won’t show us any of it - a year ago this was normal, today I’m deeply (unhealthily?) curious about my coworker’s homes. Whatever the reason is, I feel like Sian holds quite a lot of power now, so maybe it’s a really clever move?

Was thinking about talking about about global news here, but I think we’ve all been keeping up and probably don’t need the horror rehashed here. Hope you all had a good month within the decade that was January. Hopefully February is a bit shorter and happier!
