In October, the Tangent team was busy progressing projects that span everything from local celebrations to international events. We’ve also started working on an exciting new project in the heritage sector — we can’t say much yet, but watch this space for updates soon. Here’s a quick recap of some highlights from the past month.

We’re proud to be working on the 2025 Invictus Games in Vancouver and Whistler with our friends and partners TRIA, developing a bespoke wayfinding system that gives visitors a seamless experience of the event. An international, multi-sport festival for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, the Invictus Games represents one of our favourite types of project, combining the scale and intensity of a major global sporting event with the purpose and passion of our third sector clients. The games’ brand, designed by indigenous artists, has begun to pop up across Vancouver and Whistler, and we can’t wait to see and show more in the months ahead.
The upcoming Glasgow 850 anniversary celebrations are to kick off with the opening event of Celtic Connections in January. A unique concert will pay tribute to the city’s artistic heritage in a night of music, spoken-word, dance and film from some of our biggest and best musicians, artists and poets. We’re putting final touches to our ‘birthday badge’ identity rollout now — see it out and about in the city very soon.
We’ve been collaborating with an inspiring group of young people supported by Aberlour, co-designing a logo to mark 150 years of their vital work, which will appear throughout a year of special activity in 2025. Find out about our first session, and keep an eye out for the final logo, which is being launched by the young people in early November.
Earlier this year we spent time reflecting on who we are, what we offer and who we collaborate with, and we’re now close to revealing our own brand refresh and accompanying new website, which will be live before the end of the year. The website is a showcase of two decades of our experience working across a huge variety of clients and sectors, and we’re excited to put it out into the world.
