Butterfly Rainbow

A bright spot in some pretty bleak times is the news from our clients Tonic Arts about some high profile donations they’ve received to their collection in recent days!

Butterfly Rainbow
“It is such a beautiful tribute to the hard work and endurance of the amazing NHS Lothian staff during the COVID-19 pandemic”

A limited edition print of internationally renowned artist Damien Hirst’s ‘Butterfly Rainbow’, originally created in May 2020 to show support for the NHS in the early days of the pandemic, now graces the wall of the North corridor at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

Damien Hirst said “I wanted to do something to support the many people who are risking their lives to help those in need during this time of crisis. The rainbow is a sign of hope, and I’m so pleased to have released these prints to help fund the brilliant work being done by NHS staff across the country.”

Our client Susan Grant, the Tonic Arts manager at Edinburgh and Lothians Health Foundation said “As the official charity of NHS Lothian, Edinburgh and Lothians Health Foundation was delighted to have been selected to receive a limited edition ‘Butterfly Rainbow’ print created by internationally-renowned artist Damien Hirst. It is such a beautiful tribute to the hard work and endurance of the amazing NHS Lothian staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The Tonic Arts collection has also recently received the gift of John Bellany’s ‘The Lovers’, as well as donations which have enabled their parent foundation to fund tablets for virtual visiting, staff wellbeing spaces, an increased staff listening service and arts and activity packs to reduce patient isolation and boredom.

It’s one thing creating a nice brand for a client, but it’s another thing entirely when the client is as consistently successful at spreading a bit of joy in dark times as Tonic Arts are. If you want to help this brilliant organisation continue to fund their work in supporting patient wellbeing and improving clinical environments, please consider donating here.
