Levy is a global restaurant and hospitality company. With headquarters in Chicago, they have restaurants across the world, many within major entertainment and sport venues - even Disney World. Levy is the food and drink partner to the Scottish Exhibition Campus (SEC), where COP26 will largely take place.
“Dramatic food imagery and Scottish landscapes emphasise the locality of the ingredients in every dish.”
COP26 will be a catalyst for learning and change across their business.
Over the past two years Levy has scrupulously developed their approach to the catering for the climate conference, pledging to source at least 80% of its food from Scotland, as well as committing to reducing packaging and food waste. Almost all suppliers are based within 100 miles of Glasgow; the amount of plant based options has been vastly increased and they’ve partnered with Swedish company Klimato to calculate and report the carbon footprint - the ingredients, distribution and seasonality - of every dish they serve.
In advance of COP26, Levy commissioned Tangent to design and build a website to showcase their approach, methods and ambition to be Net Zero in the UK by 2027.
Data visualisation was a key feature for the website, as Levy wanted to make sure visitors knew that decisions were made and processes altered on the basis of fact.
We edited all content to make it concise and digestible, created a suite of infographics and designed a minimal, clean interface. Dramatic food imagery and Scottish landscapes emphasise the locality of the ingredients in every dish. Most importantly, though, the site provides all the information a delegate at COP26 would need to make sure they’re making the most climate conscious decision on their meal.
